Flying Into Mendoza

Mendoza International Airport is a 20-minute drive from Mendoza city center and a taxi fare costs on average $10 US per vehicle.  There is a set rate in pesos so check upon arrival.

There are plenty of taxis and remis (saloon cars) to take when arriving. Service is reliable and fair.

There are approximately 24 flights a day, mostly to Buenos Aires, but also other Argentine cities such as Rosario, Cordoba, Salta and Bariloche.

There are a limited number of international flights to Santiago de Chile,  Lima, Sao Paolo and Panama.  There are no direct flights yet to North America or Europe.

The most convenient way to fly directly into Mendoza from North America is through Santiago de Chile (LATAM) or Panama (Copa).  Flying through Buenos Aires involves a change of airport from Ezeiza to Aeroparque (60 minute drive apart). Santiago de Chile is a 25-minute hop across the mountains which includes views of Mt. Aconcagua. Buenos Aires is a two hour flight.

Flying from Chile is much faster and convenient tan takingthe land route which is prone to lengthy delays.

The most reliable airlines are LATAM and COPA.

The least reliable airline is Aerolineas Argentina.

The cheapest airlines are Norwegian and Jetsmart.
